Boxing school as a business. Guide to organizing a fight club Business plan for opening a fight club

Boxing is a “doesn’t kill, but makes you stronger” activity. Like other martial arts, it teaches you to resist stress, improves your reaction and ability to control the situation. Excellent physical fitness coupled with balance and psychological stability – isn’t this what a modern city dweller needs? Give it to him, build a business in the unique niche of sports and fitness services.

Opening a boxing club is a highly relevant entrepreneurial idea. People are fed up with regular fitness and have already acquired a craving for a healthy lifestyle. Improving your own body today is not a luxury, but a request of the mass consumer. At the same time, Russians are ready to experiment with the format of classes.

The niche of fitness services (sports and recreation) today is relatively free in cities with a population of up to 1 million inhabitants. But even in megacities there is room to expand. Here you can successfully compete with online fitness players by occupying a narrow niche. The ideal moment has come for the opening of brutal fighting schools and cozy studios; today such establishments are increasingly attracting the audience of habitual fitness. Narrow specialization, sports business with charisma - this is the basis for the school’s success. But first things first.

Key business indicators: investments - from 500 thousand rubles, payback period - 0.5-1 year.

Business model

Boxing clubs are a type of fitness centers and belong to the fitness services market. Therefore, the same rules apply to business as to the industry as a whole. However, there are also nuances.

Boxing clubs, which train youth sports reserves and professional athletes, are educational in essence: they use additional general education and general developmental training programs, and conduct certification of students. Such activities are subject to licensing and are not discussed in this article.

The essence of business. Product

A boxing school (club) is a commercial sports and recreational institution that specializes in teaching boxing to ordinary people, not athletes. The essence of the business is to adapt professional boxing for amateurs: clients improve their physical fitness by mastering martial arts techniques. The main product is boxing classes, which include general physical training and training in fighting techniques. The degree of specialization of a club may vary.

In Russia, there are successfully operating projects tailored to one type of boxing and developing several areas at once:

  • classical;
  • Thai (Muay Thai);
  • French (savat);
  • kickboxing, etc.

The list of workouts can be supplemented with CrossFit, which is used as general physical training for fighters, and stretching, useful for kickboxing. One of the most popular trends is women's kickboxing, which is more effective for building an ideal body than regular fitness. And it's also fun.

Additional sources of income for the club: holding competitions, selling equipment (uniforms, gloves, bandages), detox bar.

Classes are divided into:

  • group;
  • mini-groups;
  • individual (personal).

The target audience. Center format

Clients of the boxing club are people of any age and gender with average and above average income. As a rule, successful projects are focused on working with men, but additionally recruit children's and women's groups. You can concentrate only on neophytes or conduct classes for boxers with training.

In large cities with a population of over 500 thousand residents, the format of a boxing center for white collar workers is promising. Here they practice intellectual boxing: managers/executives relieve stress after a hard day, improve their fighting qualities, ability to concentrate and self-control.

The choice of target audience entirely depends on the concept of the establishment. It is important to clearly position the club. Pricing, the level of professionalism of trainers, the location of the establishment, the specifics of advertising and marketing efforts and other important factors will depend on this in the future.

Boxing club formats:

1. Club for white collar workers

The opposite of a glamorous fitness center, although there is more than enough elitism here. Designed for managers serving their working day in the office. Located in the city center on large areas (from 500 sq. m). The format assumes high prices, the presence of a sauna, showers, massage rooms, bars (and not only with protein shakes). The target audience is men 25-50 years old with an above-average income.

Successful projects and analogues: BOBO GYM (Moscow, bobogym.com/), Boxing Club "October" (Moscow, bcoctober.com/o-klube/)

2. “Boxing and losing weight” or “Family”

The club is positioned as an alternative to fitness, a more effective way to lose weight. Therefore, the program includes crossfit, stretching, and women's kickboxing. The concept can belong to both the premium and economy segments. The format is aimed at the general public, the audience is mixed: men and women with average income and above, and their children. The quality of training and service is at a high level. Hammams and saunas are not required, a fitness bar is desirable, the opportunity to consult with a nutritionist, fitness testing. Target audience: men and women aged 18-40, children.

Successful projects: Boxing School No. 1 (St. Petersburg, www.boxing78.ruzhenskij-boks/), “Boxing Academy” (Moscow, boxing-academy.ru).

3. Boxing for children

The club specializes in an audience of 6-17 years old. The emphasis is on strengthening the body, general physical training, but with elements of martial arts. Coaches are both good teachers and athletes. Particular attention is paid to occupational safety.

Successful examples: no exclusively commercial projects have been found yet. The system of children's and youth sports schools is functioning, often with enthusiasts opening general strengthening boxing sections on a semi-commercial basis (parents pay a minimum fixed amount per month).

4. “Boxing for boxing’s sake”

Typically, such clubs specialize in hard types of boxing, rely on self-defense skills, and train real fighters, including women. The format is functional and quite ascetic: no nutritionists, saunas or bars. The most popular are Thai boxing and kickboxing, as well as their combination. Usually this is a “one-man show”: a professional athlete opens his own school, where he trains personally.

Successful projects: Thai boxing club “Predator” (St. Petersburg, predator.net/), Legend Fight Club Thai boxing school (St. Petersburg, legendfightclub.ru).

Pricing. Payment system for services. Seasonality

Pricing in the industry has its own peculiarities. As a rule, fitness centers implement a complex system of club cards/subscriptions, which provides a loyalty program and takes into account all types of memberships: corporate, children's, individual, family, etc.

Payment for club services is based on a combination of different options:

  1. Subscription. The vast majority of Russian fitness clubs use a subscription payment system for services. The client buys a club card for the duration of the contract: from one month to two years. The visitor, in essence, lends money to the establishment, receiving in return the opportunity for unlimited visits to the center with a choice of training areas. A system with a long validity period for club cards is not ideal - it is poorly adapted to the changing living conditions of consumers.
  2. Freeze subscription. A variation of the previous payment scheme with a well-thought-out “freezing” system, when the client can temporarily interrupt the contract and renew it at will.
  3. Payment for training. There is a fixed fee for one lesson; wholesale (10 or more sessions) is cheaper. Personal and trial training are separate price items.
  4. Payment for training with reduced cost. The client is offered a package of classes (daily or several times a week), each subsequent training is cheaper. Payment is made weekly. The system is quite exotic for Russia, but is successfully used in the USA.

Peak sales periods in the fitness business are spring, autumn and winter. Summer is a time of decline and outflow of customers. During this period, it is advisable to apply additional discounts and promotions, as well as to forcefully attract new customers.

The main problem in the industry is customer retention, so business success is measured by the percentage of contract renewals. Clubs lose 30-50% of their clients annually, and the average cost of attracting new visitors is 5 times higher than the cost of retaining old ones. A well-thought-out loyalty system, professionalism of trainers and quality of service are extremely important.

Service

When choosing a club, the consumer focuses not only on the price level, but also on the quality of service. The establishment should be located in a place convenient for the target audience. If we are talking about an elite audience, then the club needs to be opened in a prestigious area/building. For a democratic office audience, a school in the business center of the city is suitable.

The level of club service consists of many factors:

  • availability of showers and convenient parking;
  • spacious training rooms, good ventilation, working condition of inventory and equipment, sufficient quantity;
  • high-quality information support for the club’s work;
  • ensuring a high level of occupational safety, correct selection of load intensity.

But the main thing for business is the professionalism and friendliness of the trainers, the friendliness and customer focus of the administrators.

Relevance. Time to go to the regions

Since the beginning of the 90s, the Russian market of sports and fitness services has come a long way: fitness has ceased to be a privilege of the rich, has become a mass product and is increasingly associated with investments in health. The services of fitness centers today are more in demand in the comfort, economy and low cost segments than in the premium and business segments.

Despite the crisis drop in incomes of Russians and a decrease in the average bill for the industry, according to RBC analysts, fitness services showed positive dynamics in 2015 and grew by 3.6%. The forecast for the next 4-5 years is favorable - the market will continue to grow.

Why opening your own boxing center is an event with great potential:

  • the percentage of coverage of the Russian population with fitness services is only 3% (in Moscow this figure is 15%, in the regions - no more than 2%);
  • the desire for health and beauty is a global trend, it is difficult to save on this;
  • The low cost segment is developing;
  • The popularity of the studio format is growing; regular fitness has become boring.

At the moment, cities with a population of 125-500 thousand people, where there are few or no large network projects, but there is interest in martial arts, are promising for opening boxing clubs. But both in Moscow and St. Petersburg there is still room for development: the provision of fitness services is uneven across regions, and the middle price segment is quite empty (the cost of an annual club card is up to 50 thousand rubles). In addition, boxing clubs are a rather narrow fashionable niche with its own specific audience.

Current problems in the industry: low incomes, high rental rates and equipment prices. All this leads to a decrease in service margins.

Instructions for opening a boxing club: briefly about the important things

Before opening, you need to choose the format of the establishment and draw up a business plan. Proceed with specific steps only after you know: what, to whom and how to sell.

Since 01.01.16, GOST R 56644-2015 “Services to the public” has been in force in Russia. Fitness services. General requirements". The activities of commercial boxing clubs are subject to the standard. Certification according to GOST is voluntary, but the document is indispensable in work and preparation for visitors from authorities: it contains requirements for the safety of clubs, the quality of equipment and premises, and the qualifications of employees. Read, apply and be prepared.

Registration

For a commercial project, the legal forms of LLC and individual entrepreneur are suitable.

OKVED codes must be selected according to the OK 029-2014 classifier (NACE Rev. 2) as amended. from 08/26/16:

  • activities of sports clubs and fitness centers, holding sporting events - 93.12, 93.13 and 93.11;
  • fitness bar - code 56.30;
  • services of baths, showers, saunas, etc. - code 96.04;
  • massage parlor - 86.90.3.

The most suitable form of taxation is the simplified tax system on income (the rate is 6%; by law of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation it can be reduced to 0%). For individual entrepreneurs, there is another attractive option - a patent for the type of activity “Conducting classes in physical education and sports” (rate 0-6% depending on the region). Both taxation systems are under regional jurisdiction; we recommend that you first study the issue locally.

Licenses, permits, notices

  1. Medical license. In general, if the club does not provide a medical worker and a massage room, then a license is not needed. Therefore, there is no need to obtain a conclusion from the SES.

    If the club operates a medical and/or massage room, you will have to obtain a license for medical activities with all the ensuing consequences (according to Government Decree No. 291 dated April 16, 2012, the package of documents for applying for a license includes a SEZ for the premises, documents for medical equipment, medical personnel, etc.).

  2. Educational license. If a commercial boxing club provides sports and fitness services and is not engaged in educational activities, including training personnel for the fitness services market, then a license is not needed.
  3. Notification from Rospotrebnadzor. According to Law No. 294-FZ of December 22, 2008 “On the Protection of the Rights of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs...” catering organizations and providers of personal services (including bathhouse and shower services) must inform regulatory authorities about the fact of starting their activities. If a club pleases visitors with a herbal bar, sauna or hammam, you need to send a notification to Rospotrebnadzor using the standard form.

No other permits are required in accordance with Law N 294-FZ, but activities must comply with sanitary, fire and other requirements (see below).

Documents regulating the activities of fitness clubs

  1. GOSTs:

    GOST R 56644-2015 “Fitness services”;

    GOST 12.1.004-91 “Fire safety”;

    GOST 32670-2014 “Services of baths and showers”;

    GOST R 52024-2003 and 52025-2003 “Fitness, health and sports services. General requirements" and "Consumer safety requirements";

    GOST R 55321-2012 “SPA services. General requirements".

  2. Sanitary requirements:

    SP 31-112-2004 “Physical training and sports halls” (parts 1 and 2);

    SP No. 2.3.6.1079-01. 2.3.6. “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for catering organizations...”;

    SanPiN 1S67-76 “Sanitary rules for the design and maintenance of places of physical education and sports”, as amended. dated 10/31/1996.

  3. Laws:

    No. 2300-1 dated 02/07/1992 “On the protection of consumer rights”;

    N9 329-FZ dated 04.12.07 “On physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation”;

    N9 384-FZ dated December 30, 2009 “Techn. regulations on the safety of buildings and structures";

    N9 123-FZ dated July 22, 2008 “Tech. regulations on fire safety requirements."

Premises and equipment

The location of the club must correspond to the chosen format. However, in all cases, premises in industrial zones are not suitable, as well as inconvenient for clients in terms of “getting there”. All over the world, fitness centers are traditionally located in rented space. Preference should be given to long-term leases in order to have time to recoup investments in repairs.

The club can accommodate 150 sq. m, but this is the bare minimum. Ceiling height is important; it is better to choose 3 m or more.

Regardless of the size of the room, you must highlight:

  • a gym, or better yet two: one for training, the second, with a boxing ring, for competitions and performances;
  • reception area;
  • locker rooms;
  • room for showers and toilets.

If the audience is not only male, you need to take care of separate locker rooms and showers for women and children.

Staff

We need coaches and administration workers. The higher the professionalism of the coaching staff, the better. Invite athletes with real achievements: masters of sports and champions, people with coaching experience and higher education in the field of physical education and sports. You cannot save on personnel; the success of the business lies in it.

If the format requires it, hire a nutritionist or massage therapist. A medical worker is welcome on the club staff - the sport is traumatic. Accounting and cleaning functions should be outsourced.

Advertising and Marketing

Potential clients are active Internet users, offer them the most complete information about the club on the website: about training, student achievements, types of boxing, teaching methods (if any), trainers, payment system, discounts and bonuses.

Franchises

The boxing area of fitness services is developing very actively, so there are many franchise offers and plenty to choose from.

1. Boxing Academy franchise

  • Lump sum fee: 350 thousand rubles.
  • Investments: 1,950 - 3,600 thousand rubles.
  • Payback period: 1 month
  • "BOXING ACADEMY" (boxing-academy.ru) is a network of premium sports clubs for women, men and children. The company has been in boxing since 2011, and was one of the invited consultants from the professional community to develop GOST standards for fitness services. Premises requirements: from 200 sq. m with a ceiling height of 3.5 m.

2. Rocky franchise

  • Lump sum fee: 350 thousand rubles.
  • Investments: 500 - 1,500 thousand rubles.
  • Payback period: 6 months
  • Rocky (rockyclub.rufranchasing) are clubs in the “boxing” format for white collar workers. The company has been in business since 2013. They use unique Rocky training methods. Premises requirements: from 200 sq. m. with ceiling heights from 2.5 m.

    The boxing clubs Moscowboxing (moscowboxing.ru) and Udarnik (extrimpower.ru) also have offers, but little information has been published for franchisee partners.

Many people knew that there was a Fight Club in the city, but where it was, how to get there and what was happening inside could only be found out through word of mouth. This was the case for several years, until a couple of months ago the organization emerged from obscurity and announced itself with a loud opening on a new large site with a cafe, barbershop and massage parlour.

The Village talked to the head of the club, Sergei Shulgin, about the difference between this place and fitness clubs or sports clubs, how dangerous fighting is and why the city needs such a purely male place.

What happened before

The club has existed in various formats for six years. At first, we simply rented a gym on Alekseevskaya from sambo wrestlers once every two weeks. We had a training session, and at the end of it we just fought. At that time I was an ordinary participant, then I became a leader. And so it went on for a year and a half: they met, fought, separated. They paid one hundred rubles per person - they simply chipped in for the hall. Then they asked us from there, because the format was very strange and rigid. And for another year and a half I was looking for a new premises. It took so long because everyone I came to asked me: “What will you do there?” - and I answered: “Fight. There will be blood, but we will clean up after ourselves. Well, maybe we’ll practice a couple of times a week.” Few people were happy with this answer. And everyone was wondering who I was, but I had no sports education, no belt, nothing.

Why is Fight Club needed and why is it better than sections?

It helped me, like many other guys. I used to be a pretty modest boy. I grew up at the Automobile Plant and was usually not the one who hits, but the one who runs away. The club helped me overcome this and believe in myself.

As a student, I studied in the hand-to-hand combat section, and my classmates were in the Fight Club, and they often walked around with broken noses and arms. At first I thought it was tough and I didn’t need to go there, but in the end I came because something was missing. Athletes often come to us and they say that there is no full contact in the sections, there the coach will stop when necessary, but here everything is like on the street, and the fight ends when someone gives up or when I, as the organizer, stop. At first it was tough: we fought even without gloves, but gradually we began to put on protection and helmets. Now it’s all cultural and civilized.

I used to be a pretty modest boy. I grew up at the Automobile Plant and was usually not the one who hits, but the one who runs away. The club helped me overcome this and believe in myself

Is there a lot of aggression in fights?

We are actively fighting stereotypes about this. We have no aggression. One of the coaches recently noted that those who would never come to regular sports sections come to our club. These include entrepreneurs earning several million a month, specialists of various levels, and candidates of science.

If you remove everything and leave only the moment before sparring, everything is precisely for the sake of this second: when a person steps over himself, he is already a winner. There's no need to even fight anymore. If rivals fight, this does not mean that they hate each other. And there is no competitive moment here either: we never had a single hand raised - winner or loser. When the fight takes place, we bring the guys together, they shake hands, say: “Thank you,” and go their separate ways. That's it, they're friends. Maybe there is a slight excitement. But in general, a man comes to just feel like a man. And in such a hall it is much more pleasant and comfortable to feel like a man.

About the formation of the concept

The problem is that there really are no quality clubs of this profile in the city. There are fitness clubs, but that's different. There is not the same atmosphere, the wrong results and the wrong people come for it. Half of the clients go there to sit in the sauna, chat, and “play” sports. But here a person cannot help but work. At first I wanted to open just a normal hall, then I thought, why not add a massage room, a barbershop, and so on. The idea was constantly being refined somehow, put together from little things. The result is a place where a man can meet the full cycle of his needs.

What are your plans for the future?

We have already started holding a Sunday event called “Dad Hour” - joint training for fathers and children under the supervision of a sports psychologist. We think this is a great opportunity to strengthen family relationships. We have also already launched a fight day and plan to add weekly seminars or master classes in each sports area that we represent, open training sessions, and viewings of fights. By the way, we also conduct corporate team building events and even children’s parties. See what we have come to from fighting in dirty basements!

collapse

Today, sports clubs are not just halls with a variety of exercise equipment; they provide many additional services, for example, halls for martial arts, independent training, and for training other sports programs. The better these services are provided, the more visitors such an institution will have. To open your own successful martial arts club, you first need to think through a business plan.

Today, various types of martial arts are extremely popular among both young people and more mature men. Even the female half of society cannot resist this sport. Opening your own martial arts section can subsequently bring in good money, especially in small towns with weak competition. To organize a business in this direction does not require huge capital investments. And the business project itself is not only commercial, but also beneficial to the health of society.

Analysis of the situation in the market for the provision of sports services

Most often, this type of business is formed on the basis of educational institutions, when their gyms are rented for training.

Before opening your own business in this area, you need to conduct a thorough analysis of similar institutions already existing in the region, find out their focus, and assess demand. Based on the results of the analysis, it will be possible to determine which types of martial arts are most profitable to provide services for. If you yourself are proficient in any type of martial arts, then the direction of your activity is naturally predetermined. But, if there are no such skills, then, of course, you will have to hire experienced martial arts masters.

To select coaches, it is worth making a strict selection process based on the following criteria:

  • First of all, his reputation as a coach.
  • Teaching style.
  • Achievements of students of each individual candidate for the position of coach.

A special teaching style, qualifications and positive reputation of a trainer are the key to business success in this area!

Demand for sports clubs

The market for sports services: sports clubs, martial arts sections, fitness clubs is in great demand. Despite the huge number of already opened institutions, the demand for these services in full is currently unsatisfied. Therefore, the sports business is quite in demand and has good payback rates.

Business registration

There is more than one option for registering a sports business. First you need to decide:

  • open your own independent martial arts institution;
  • be part of the sports federation of this sport.

Each of these options has its own advantages. Everything will depend on the purpose of opening a sports section:

  • open your own business to make a profit;
  • The main goal is to promote the chosen type of martial arts and prepare students for large-scale competitions.

If you decide to open an individual sports club, then you need to register the business as an individual entrepreneur or LLC. In this case, it will be possible to make a profit from training legally. Regarding the choice of taxation system, it is recommended to seek detailed advice from an experienced lawyer. In this type of activity, the services of a lawyer may be needed more than once, since sports are always associated with an increased risk of injury to students.

If you join a sports federation or a children's and youth sports school, you can register the business as a non-profit NGO and form a non-profit partnership. In this situation, the state provides established tax benefits.

If you are an individual entrepreneur, you will definitely have to register with the tax authority; if you join a youth sports school or sports federation, you will have to register only with the local justice authorities.

When registering as an individual entrepreneur, the registration period may be limited to five working days. To register a non-profit enterprise, the registration period is up to one month.

Choosing a section location

When choosing premises to open your own martial arts sports club, you need to understand that the prospect of standing in traffic for several hours while getting to training does not suit anyone today. Therefore, the club should be located in a place where it could be quite easily and quickly reached by shuttle bus, metro, etc.

Renting a space in the very center of the city is, of course, very good, but the price is not affordable for everyone. The best option for opening a sports section is a residential area. Here are the most affordable rental prices, plus a constant influx of customers.

When choosing a location, it is also worth considering the availability of parking areas for vehicles, so that the client has the opportunity to park his own car near the sports club.

Advertising

To recruit students into an organized sports section, you must, of course, make yourself known. For a small martial arts club located in a residential area, this type of advertising, such as distributing leaflets, works well. One leaflet will approximately cost up to 2 rubles. The price depends on the leaflet format, the complexity of the sketch, and the circulation.

A simplified version of leaflets are business cards with contact details of a sports club. You can make them yourself at home on a printer using colored paper.

You can distribute business cards and leaflets yourself, or you can hire a specialized advertising agency. In the second case, the cost of services will be about 5 rubles. for one leaflet.

Expense/income

How much does it cost to open your own successful martial arts establishment? The price can be influenced by various factors.

Approximate investment:

  • rental of premises – 60,000 rub.
  • renovation of the premises, equipment - 400,000 rubles.
  • salary of 10 employees - 200,000 rubles.
  • advertising – 100,000 rub.
  • additional expenses - 100,000 rubles.

The total amount is about 900,000 rubles.

The profit from such a sports institution will consist of several parts: permanent + temporary.

  • A subscription can be purchased for several months at once - this is a permanent income. The average cost of a monthly subscription is 1,500 rubles. Therefore, in order to make a good profit from this business, you need to attract at least about 100 similar clients every month.
  • Temporary income is when a client visits a sports club several times a month, making one-time payments. One such visit is approximately estimated at 150 rubles.

In total, you can receive up to 200,000 rubles monthly from a small sports club. arrived. Business payback is from 6 months.

2.Description of the industry and company

In recent years, boxing has increasingly adapted to mass demand and opened its doors to non-professionals. The popularity of boxing clubs for mid-level citizens is increasing, as evidenced by the opening of more and more clubs and boxing centers in major cities of the country. It is believed that white collar boxing originated in the 80s in New York, where tournaments began to be regularly held for office workers seeking emotional release in the ring. White collar boxing became so popular that in 2001 the International White Collar Boxing Association (IWCBA) was formed to set clear rules and oversee the competition. Today there are more than 1,500 clubs around the world where anyone can try themselves as a boxer, regardless of their age and status. Unlike professional clubs, the purpose of such centers is to provide a platform for boxing as an alternative to fitness. By attending classes, a person keeps himself in good physical shape, increases his resistance to stress and more easily endures all the hardships of life.

The goal of this project is to open a specialized boxing center in a city with a population of more than 500 thousand people to provide sports and fitness services to the population and make a profit. The business idea is to create and operate a commercial boxing club, aimed at all groups of the population of any age, starting from 5 years. The format of the establishment will refer to the so-called “white collar boxing” (boxing for white collar workers), which implies the adaptation of professional boxing for ordinary people and affordability.

The boxing club will be located in the central area of the city, close to major business centers and educational institutions. The club will operate daily: from 8:00 to 22:00 Mon-Fri. and from 9:00 to 21:00 on Sat. – Sun. The total area of the club will be 250 square meters. meters.

4.Sales and marketing

The target audience of boxing will be city residents with an average level of income of various categories of the population. During the classes, groups of different ages will be formed, including children's groups (5-9 years old, 9-15 years old) and groups for adults. If an appropriate specialist is available, it is planned to create a separate group for girls and women. At the pre-opening stage, work will be carried out to attract customers through social networks and pre-sell subscriptions. On the first day of work, an open day will be held with master classes and drawings for certificates for free visits to the club for a certain period.

The main channel for attracting new club members will be the Internet. Wanting to sign up for an exercise class is not like impulsively buying clothes or food. The potential client has an idea of what he wants and strives to find out in more detail information about the sports sections that interest him on the Internet, and compare prices of several clubs. Therefore, information about the services of the boxing center, prices, trainers and contact details will be posted on the website. According to the Yandex.Wordstat service, the request for “boxing section” is made monthly from 12,000 to 26,000 times, while there are much more similar requests (approximately 50-60 thousand). The leaders in the number of requests are Moscow and St. Petersburg (3205 and 1245 requests for “boxing section” as of April 2016), followed by Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Samara and Kazan (170 -338 requests). Taking into account related requests, indicators increase by 2-3 times. At the same time, the most people who want to sign up for boxing are recorded from August to October after the end of the summer holiday season. In the fall, there is a peak in sales of fitness club memberships, so it is most advisable to open a club in August-September.

The main methods that will be used when promoting on the market will be:

In the course of its activities, the club’s management will proceed from the principles of expanding the services provided, increasing the number of regular club members, as well as improving the quality of service. To implement the first task, a search will be made for new partners of the club, including large employers interested in purchasing season tickets in bulk. To implement the second, special seminars, master classes and other events will be held for staff under the guidance of invited specialists. The club's management will help create a trusting family atmosphere with customer-oriented service in the establishment. Attention will be paid to all the subtleties of the work, from maintaining general employee discipline and creating a loyalty system, to an individual approach to each client (taking into account the client’s characteristics and inclinations when conducting training, calling by name, etc.).

5.Production plan

The location of the club will be in the central area of the city with a large number of office and retail buildings (business center). The club will operate daily. Working hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00-22:00, weekends and holidays - from 09:00 to 21:00.

The club will be located on a rented area of 250 sq. meters. The boxing club will have two gyms for competitions and training, an administration, a locker room, a wardrobe area and a bathroom with shower. Renovation of the premises will require 1.8 million rubles, equipment – 1.2 million rubles. Among other things, the room will need to be equipped with a ventilation system. More detailed equipment costs can be seen in Table. 2.

The entrepreneur will assume the responsibilities of the club manager. Also, at the initial stage, 5 staff units will be required, including an administrator and four trainers (payroll, see Table 3). Accounting, security and cleaning services will be transferred to third parties for a negotiated payment. If competitions are organized at the club, additional employees may be hired.

Table 3. Staffing and wage fund

The boxing club's main income will come from the sale of subscriptions, with additional income coming from payments for one-time visits and individual lessons. Provided that on average one client will pay about 3,600 rubles for services. per month, then if there are 200 regular customers, the club’s net profit will be 227,000 rubles. with revenue of 720,000 rubles. This mark is planned to be achieved at the initial stage (1-4 months). At the same time, the number of permanent clubs can subsequently be increased to 300 people, which will allow one to count on a profit of up to 550 thousand rubles. The club's expenses will include: rent - 200 thousand rubles, payroll with deductions - 195 thousand rubles, advertising - up to 45 thousand rubles, other expenses (utilities, accounting, cleaning, etc.) - 23 thousand rubles.

6.Organizational plan

Responsibilities for the management of the club will be assumed by an individual entrepreneur, who, together with another administrator subordinate to him, will form the administrative unit. The administration's activities will include resolving all organizational issues, document flow, personnel management, drawing up a work schedule, marketing promotion and development of social networks, searching for new partners, negotiations with the landlord, and resolving conflict situations with clients. The production link will be boxing trainers who conduct group and individual training.

7.Financial plan

The starting investment in the project will be 3,620,000 rubles. Investment cost items are given in Table. 4.

Table 4. Investment costs

The financial indicators of the project in terms of revenue, cash flow, costs, tax deductions and net profit are given in Appendix 1. The conditions adopted in the calculations were: average bill for services - 3,600 rubles. achieving a sales volume of 720,000 rubles. for 4 months of operation (200 clients), annual growth in the number of regular clients for 5 years (up to 300 per month).

8.Evaluation of project effectiveness

The calculations made allow us to say that the project to organize a boxing club is a profitable business that can pay for itself within a short time (see Table 5). At the same time, the load indicators adopted in the calculations are approximate and can be significantly increased if competent work is carried out to attract customers at the preparatory stage, which will have a positive impact on the indicators. In conditions of weak competition, prices for services can change both downward and upward without significant consequences on the level of demand.
